This is my favorite song! God blessed the world when he put Howard, Vestal, Johnny, and all the other Happy Goodmans on it. For over 50 years, they spread the Good News of the Lord wherever they went. I can't wait to get to Heaven and hear the Heavenly Happy Goodmans once more! I'm only 16, and I sing all their songs. Of course, I will never be as talented as they were, but feel free to check out my videos. Thanks! And I DO thank God for the Lighthouse!
In Christ, Brett

@bassace1971 Steve Easter did play steel with the Happy Goodman Family some, but the person playing steel in this video is Jack Smith, who also played for Connie Smith as well as other artists.

In 1965 I went into the new Admiral Semmes Motor Hotel restaurant in Mobile, Alabama for lunch. Seated in a large circular booth were all the Goodmans. I went over and introduced myself and they told me they were going to be in concert at Vigor High School that night and they invited me to go with them. They had just bought a new Silver Eagle bus (shell) and were in the process of converting it. Sam was the driver. I don't know if I've ever enjoyed an evening more than that. Rest in peace.

All gospal singers sing beautiful. Vestal was still the queen of gospal music.. I had the honor of serving Howard and Vestal in 1996. They stayed at the Sheraton Inn Roanoke. They were here for our concert. When Vestal called for room service I knew her voice right away. That night they sang one of my family favorite "Farther Along"
