Her diction is lovely?? Do you understand a single word?? I think I got "schön" and "Welt" at some point. Pretty bad. Whoever came up with this whole sshow comfused a Verdi Aria with Bach. But who cares, whatever sells best!

  • ooch, da haetten aber noch 30 Streicher und 20 Blaeser mehr mitmachen koenne, wie das halt so ist bei Baroockorchestern

  • wunderbahr

  • melhor impossivel

  • @monsieurw1 Nothing beats Edith Mathis for me. She is simply amazing. As for Dessay, I think she's another world from Mathis, thus why I don't love her.

This aria is difficult, but most interpretations I've heard are quite good. It's really touching.

  • I am of two minds. The playing is clean, and Ms. Gruberova's voice, diction and expression are lovely. However, the tempo drags, and the ensemble isn't always as well together as one might hope. It's good, but there are better ones to be heard (e.g. Natalie Dessay, Christine Schafer).

  • It does seem to drag a little, doesn't it...

  • stunning edita!

  • bellissimo il duetto lei è stupenda......

Der Trompeter ist Otto Sauter, mit einer Yamaha-Piccolo.
