Tina Dico performs "No Time to Sleep" (from the album A Beginning, A Detour, An Open Ending) at Schubas in Chicago on March 22nd, 2009. Apologies in advance for the shaky camera work.

Icelandic artist Helgi Jonsson is on backup vocals and longtime collaborator Dennis Ahlgren is on percussion.

  • That's such a shame. I saw her the next night in new York where the audience were more respectful. I'm sure it was ostensibly the same set - acoustic, pensive and kinda delicate - quite easily spoiled by even low conversation

  • For the most part, everyone was respectful.

    Except for this guy at the front! Every time a new song started, he'd lean over to the other guy and name the song very loudly, usually accompanied by a high five. Like, buddy, I know the songs' names too, I don't need to know you do, as well.

    Then the most shameful bit was towards the end when he posed two people he knew right in front of the stage and took a picture of them while Tina was playing in the background. So outrageous! I was shocked.
