I wonder if they make Lightsabers like that in the movies.

The "sabers" used in the movies were generally lightweight aluminum rods (or carbon fiber rods in the EP I, II & III), & didn't have any "real life" lighting effects. Some prototyping of something called "scotchlite" was attempted for EP IV--which was not used.
All this being said... LED sabers don't generally "compare" to graphical effects. They are also FAR more cumbersome (relatively) to waving around lightweight rods.
Granted, the LED props you see... are getting *better*.. MUCH better!

Thanks... and ooohhhh, there's LOTS more where that came from! :) That one was back in 2005/2006... there's a lot more of what I've been doing in my other vids... ya just gotta look for 'em. :)
