Better idea: Small lap desk with slide-out mouse tray, a bit like the slide out trays at some convenience store checkout counters. Fits in laptop bags right along-side the laptop. You can also order a stand, much like the one on the X4, that can be clipped on and off easily, not taking up extra space when you don't need it.
Very portable, whereas the Pug and X4 are rather bulky, when it comes to carrying them around, especially in laptop bags.
