  • Marvelous! I can use this video as a teaching aid in my English class. I hope it is always here. Thank you for posting this!

  • Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm glad it's being put to such constructive use. So long as no one sues me for using the text, it will remain here.

Speaking of lawsuits: Being an English teacher, do you know whether this poem is available in the public domain for use in songs like this, or would I need to pay royalties if I were to sell it?

  • wow, can someone say long phrases?

  • The poem is in the public domain the United States. Under the U.S. copyright law in effect in 1951, the copyright expired on the 28th anniversary of the date of first publication, unless it was renewed before then. The poem was first published in The New Republic issue of March 7, 1923; Frost did renew the copyright of the poem by March 1951. He instead renewed the copyright of a book published later in 1923 that contained the poem. Too late!

  • this doesn't fit the mood of the poem at all.

  • really poorly written song... doesnt fit the poem at all... they sung what they were given very well though

  • poor balance, poor intonation, and really, as far as I'm concerned, a poorly written song. a beautiful poem, though.

  • You had better consult a lawyer about this, and I am eager to know the answer, too.
