When dad is cooking dinner for the family, it can be different and exciting from the regular routine. Working as a team with your partner can help with new dinner ideas and getting dinner on the table faster. Maybe dad cooks breakfast for dinner or likes to grill. This is sexist and should never have been approved! Congratulations on finding a few bitter women who would publicly sell out their husbands for a few cans of shitty sauce. This will do nothing for their marriages, or your company. Time to find a new agency and begin writing that public apology, not that it will help this stay at home father of two that does all the cooking. I believe in home made, healthy meals for my children, not canned garbage. Can't wait to share this on the blog with my r

Thanks for assuming that all men are bungling idiots in the kitchen! Way to sell to your audience! Idiots...

And decrease that continued presumption via advertising that “Moms the word ( and through potential unintended implication the main/only word) for dinner.

I think as a society that has predominantly placed women in the kitchen, it would be great to get away from those stereotypes and try to use advertising as a way to encourage a more balanced household and reflect the ever changing reality that more men are in the kitchen ( as your personal experience reflects). This way men can see ads that more appropriately reflect them as well.

So I am not taking a stance that I think Ragu hates Dads. Or that I think the commercial is necessarily sexist. However, I do think its imperative and would be really nice if Ragu put out a commercial that was similarly minded for and about Dads.

Like I'd ever buy this watered-down, HFCS-laden tomato paste to feed my kids. Maybe Ragu DOES know their target market. Any father smart enough to be insulted by this "ad" is smart enough to know not to buy it.

I am not a father, but I have cooked extensively since I was a child. My father was the one who taught me how. I have had numerous jobs as a cook in nice restaurants, and on top of that, not once have I ever seen a woman in that profession. I'm not trying to be sexist by saying that, just stating my own observations. I know there are many women who can cook wonderfully (as well as men).

Also, I am a vegetarian so you can't pull the "just grill up some burgers" card on me.

My wife does the shopping 99% of the time but I'm responsible for writing the list and cooking anything more complicated than PB+J. At least your product is sub par so I'll just continue to not write your sauce on the shopping list. WTF Ragu?

if they were stuck in the 50s they would at least have some respect for fathers. Only in the last 20 years have men become bubbling morons in media.

These look like stand-up moms: "I'm getting smashed off mimosas at a quarter to 6 because I'm so tired from being so perfect all day. My husband is a buffoon, you see, but I'm content with that even though I'll make pretense to the contrary."

Ragù, well done! Not only have you insulted fathers, but you've also portrayed the other half of your parental demographic as alcoholic, male-bashing harridans.

Any parent that feeds their kid this processed crap should be thinking more, including not taking a word of what these paid shills say seriously.
