Kondak: Intercessor of Christians - Zastupnice Christiane

The videos of August 16 and 17, 2008 are from the ACROD Diocesan Pilgrimage at the wooden Rusyn style church built in 2003 at the diocesan Camp Nazareth, located in Mercer,PA. It is a pious tradition of the Rusyns, both Orthodox and Greek Catholic to chant the Zastupnice kondak during Sunday's Liturgy based on the love of the Rusyn people of the Theotokos, Mary the Birth-Giver of God!

I wish there were a ACROD Carpatho-Rusyn church in our area. Sadly we are in the far flung Western corner of the USA where there is no Carpatho-Rusyn presence save for the "Byzantine Catholic Church" which is rapidly abandoning its heritage in favor of a "Americanized" (r)usyn Catholic Church, a church that seems to wish to forget its own heritage.
