Great song. McCartney was out walking his sheep dog Martha with biographer Hunter Davies. "It's getting better," he said, noting a touch of spring in the air. "It's getting better," was also Jimmy Nichols' usual reply to journalists asking him how he was fitting in with the Beatles when he briefly replaced Ringo on tour.
