Led by percussionist Joby Burgess, Powerplant explores hi-octane percussion led music with an electronic flavour and a strong visual performance. In addition to the audio CD, Import/Export contains a DVD of a specially created film from Bristol based visual artist Kathy Hinde.

The innovative composition (again from Gabriel Prokofiev) is a Suite for Global Junk. Written for seemingly 'culture-less' objects, Import/Export creates music from reclaimed and recycled 'junk': a Fanta bottle, an oil drum, a wooden pallet, and a plastic bag; which along with subtle use of live electronic processing and looping are crafted into seven the 'voyages' which make up the work. These are complimented by genre-defying remixes from renowned electronic artists including Murcof, Martin Parker, Medasyn, and Matthew Fairclough.
