The Production site in Mannheim is now from Deutz AG. Deutz has now the watercooled technology from MWM. In Our Fendt tractor sits an MWM-Deutz engine which is clearly a MWM

This is a very old Brazilian-designed MWM diesel, made in the 1960s. It makes 558kW (760hp) at 375 RPM and was made in Germany. The engine has a very complex oiling system using flexible hoses to lubricate the valvetrain so it can be left in open air, making it easier to service.

How did you get the idea that this is an Brazilian designed engine? MWM means; Mannheimer Motoren Werke.

Well, you are right, but the company in recent years changed hands and is headquartered in Brazil. But I've always thought of them being a Brazilian company until I did some more research.

We didn't know MWM is in Brazilian hands now. Interesting!! By the way; the complexe oiling system you see was placed several years ago, originally we had to oil the engine every three hours by hand.
