A Maatsuyker Canoe Club sea kayaking trip to Birchs Inlet in Macquarie Harbour. A variety of weather ranging from flat calm to howling winds. We visited the Orange Bellied parrot observation hide and then went to east and west Pillinger in Kelly Basin.

  • Thanks for that Jeff. Really enjoyed the video. Very professional. I'm planning a trip to Macquarie Harbour next year. Do you know of a website address with cabin / lodge locations ?

  • @rey073

If you type in Strahan in Google you will see heaps of accommodation places ranging from camp grounds to luxury hotels. You might need to book early as the place fills up pretty fast during the summer.

  • Hi Rob,

Thanks for the comments, I used three cameras, a HD Hero miniature camera that was mounted on a telescopic pole, it has a very wide angle lens and is in a small waterproof housing, a hand held Canon HF 20 HD video camera in a waterproof housing and a Panasonic TZ7 digital still/HD video camera for some land based shots.

  • Really nice vid, Jeff. Enjoyed it a lot. Haven't been in a kayak for 20 years...think I'm gonna have to change that!

  • What a wonderful video, great camera work, editing and music selection.

Can I ask what camera you used? The video was very sharp and clear.

Thank you for sharing, I felt like I was along with you.
