This lesson is intended for beginners. I think that its a good practise, because it has some "important" slap bass techniques, i.e. hammer-ons, dead notes and muted plucking. It is actually my first groove I came up with when I recently started playing bass again, and is the first part of my "slap bass groove 1" video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcnKah9n-pY
I like to play it and it is kinda funky.

  • is it 1, 2 or 3 hits on the a to b?

  • It's 2, where the second is a hammer on to b

  • Okey this is too difficult for a beginner like me to do this fast, haha. One question though: do I see correctly that you mute the e string with your thumb after slapping it?

  • Yes I use my thumb to mute the E string

  • hi could you tab this please? if you could would you send it to me

  • I will provide tabs for my lessons in the near future. Stay tuned.
