The wide-ranging discussion, entitled "Anxious Times: Seeing Beyond a World of Perpetual Threats," covered such global concerns as North Korea's nuclear ambitions, the looming threat of a global flu pandemic, threats to civil liberties, and the role of the Internet in our changing world.

Roundtable panelists: John Hennessy (President, Stanford University), Ted Koppel, Jean-Pierre Garnier (CEO, GlaxoSmithKline), Anthony Kennedy (US Supreme Court), William Perry (former US Secretary of Defense), Lucy Shapiro (Stanford School of Medicine), George Shultz (former US Secretary of State), and Jerry Yang (CEO, Yahoo!). Recorded on October 14, 2006 at Stanford University.

  • Fantastic work!!

  • Interesting program.

  • I felt scared and unsecured. Many threats in this world.

  • Moreover how does it compare to the TV generation(s)?

  • @ 27:57 I question.

  • 93:00

  • I like what Jerry says at 93:00. We are the first generation to go through puberty saturating in cyberspace. What has this done to our minds?

  • Roya Daysprings' pick for most relevant video considering all "the facts" Google - ADONAI

  • Jerry Yang brings nothing to this topic.

  • This is very interesting.
