For his extraordinary work on human rights for people living with HIV and AIDS, Uyapo Ndadi of Gaborone, Botswana was named a 2010 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (JCI TOYP) recipient in the category of contribution to children, world peace and/or human rights.

Leaving behind a lucrative job at a leading commercial and corporate law firm, Ndadi pursued his passion for making a meaningful difference by working for the organization he single-handedly founded, the Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS (BONELA). Ndadi was recently appointed the Director of BONELA and continues to fight for the rights of HIV/AIDS sufferers and to curb the spread of the virus. By working with BONELA, Ndadi advocated policy changes within the government that abolished employment discrimination based on HIV status.
