This song was written after watching a documentary in 1990.The money Praphai earned,in the hotels and bars,was sent home to help her family but also to help build the temples,as was the custom then.She became pregnant and also caught aids.She and her baby spent the last days of their short lives at a women's refuge.Bless you Praphai and the others like you.
This song is from The Dead Parrots Society's 2nd album "Saint Cecilia" 1997 and features some haunting keyboard work from Greg Rose.
