A rig that uses your camera's included software, a USB connection to your computer, and a WiFi display extension app to control your DSLR via your iPad or iPhone as well as use them as an external monitor.

  • What model of DSLR camera do you use to do your shoots? Great image quality thanks:)

  • @merdelune9 This was shot with a T2i, but my newer videos are shot with a 60D

  • @MegaSalmosalar Value wise, the 60D would be hard to beat, but overall I believe the 7D is the better camera; although the 60D would hardly be a compromise. BTW, what would you be planning to do with the FX1000? ;)

  • @MattsMacintosh I film outdoor fishing promotional films, but I am looking to get into filming with DSLRs...I use an fx1000 now. Do you think a 7d or 60d would be better?

  • There's actually a better app for this purpose. It's called DSLR Camera Remote by OnonesoftwareDOTcom. The connection setup is similar but the app directly connects to a server running on a computer/notebook and you don't get the delay when extending your desktop to the ipad or iphone. I'm using it and it's definitely a great app to get. It works with Nikon and Canon DSLRs

  • @LiMiTMediaHD Flip out screen that can shut facing inwards to protect itself, sturdier build, somewhat more weather resistant, more comfortable to use, lcd display on top is easier to read at night without making you blind again, easier to use in general, shoots faster FPS for sports, has several features not even on the T3i ... it's a long list.

  • Looks pretty good, but the focusing isnt working fluently.. :(

  • Hey there mate

I like your video, thank you for this. I do have an Olympus E-620 and it does not record video. Now it does have a live view finder [therefore is showing a live feed of some sort]

I know there must be a way to connect my olympus e-620 to either to my apple or to some sort of video device that will allow me to record. Do you know how i could do this?

    Thanks very much

    A

  • @swaggalikeriz no man, i have a T2i and can't see any visible difference. I'd say spend on the lens rather on the cool factor. However, the flip out screen is a great advantage. And if you want a cheaper option with a flip out screen, then the T3i is a great option too :)

  • @LiMiTMediaHD Yes, and its 100% true.

  • if you put it on a jib you need a long USB cable

  • Somebody needs to put out a small relay device that you can just plug into a camera (DSLR or any kind of video camera), and it will wirelessly beam the video signal to any tablet or smart phone through either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Release corresponding apps for iOS, Android and whatnot... If somebody did this, they would make a fortune. EVERYBODY in the filmmaking industry would want it.
