The House of the Rising Sun - HOT RS - Originally an American Folk Song, that became a worldwide hit for Eric Burdon and the Animals in 1964, as well as the brilliant singer Joan Baez back in 1960. In fact the original musician on electronic keyboard was the well known organist and singer Alan Price who launched his Alan Price Set in 1965 and later worked with Georgie Fame

In this version, HOTRS is performed on Technics SX-PR60 Electronic Piano Keyboard by Transgendered Musician - Denise Hewitt. I'm still working on developing my personal interpretation of this great folk song, so please listen to this version as "work in progress":)

The lyrics for The House of the Rising Sun:

(1) There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one

(2) My mother was a tailor
She sewed my new bluejeans
My father was a gamblin' man
Down in New Orleans

(3) Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk

(4) Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun

(5) Well, I got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain

(6) Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one
