Balinese cremation ceremony

The local villagers at Taman Village are busy with the cremation for a member of the village who recently died caused of kidney's failure. The ceremony was attended by most of the villagers, men and women were hand in hand helping the family to organize everything for the completion of the cremation. At the present days, we are using stove to cremate the body but firewood were still be used around 15 years 20 years ago that was contribute by the entire member of the village itself. Using kerosene stove, we could cremate the body a lot faster than using firewood. The Balinese Gamelan are played by the village's musician during the cremation and also Sanskrit's song are sung to accompany the soul's journey to the next world that he is belonged to. The villagers are staying the entire time to help the family until the ceremony is over. It shows the great sense of togetherness and family hood of community.
