In the men's 60-kilogram weight class, the judo gold medalist is Choi Min-Ho of South Korea. He defeated Austria's silver medalist Ludwig Paischer in the championship contest. Ruben Houkes of the Netherlands and Rishod Sobirov of Uzbekistan split the bronze. Choi clinched the championship in style after scoring on a devastating move called the "maximum ippom" just over two minutes into the fight. Choi, the bronze medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics, has now reached the pinnacle of his sport.

  • Choi Minho's match was probably the only match at the Olympics worth watching. The rest of the matches were full of handslapping and bulldogging.
