It was a sweet mountain escape at the Great Smoky Mountains, NC - cooling off with the great scenery of nature, cool breeze, tweeting birds, great foods, ear catching sound of the flowing river, beautiful waterfalls, tubing, gem mining and blueberry picking.

  • Thank you for the nice comment . I must admit Mel works harder than me though . She has two jobs but I only have one job . But yet I cook food over the weekends for the family .

  • @RFBJr1965 I should say you both are hardworkers and I'm happy to have met you both. Over the period of time what really matters is how you both share quality moments with yourselves and with your family. My husband and I both managed to do the same.

  • No . Mel is always busy with her two jobs . She don't socialize that much , except for my family and her family . She prefers to work .

  • @RFBJr1965 Ate Mel sure is a great person, loving and workaholic! You both are so blessed to have each other. I know you yourself is an awesome husband and workaholic as well!

  • With what you wrote , you and Andrew will have a long and happy marriage . I should know since Mel and I have been married for over 25 years now and it is getting better and better as the years go by .

  • @nina1823 Ate Nina, yes there are some gift shops up in the mountains and they got collections of different kinds of gemstones. We found some quarts, opal, amethyst, ruby, emerald and some more. That berries is called blue berries, one of my favorites.

  • @stem68 I'm good, thanks. You know that's really the kind of place that I want to visit, the one with the gift shop that sells crystal stones. I got a small collection of those stones which I bought there in the states. I think you found some quartz and amethyst crystals there. Is there gold there, and what kind of berries did you pick?

  • @nina1823 Hello again Ate Nina, thanks for stopping by again. Kumusta na po kayo? Yes, that was a great scenery up in the mountains, no pollution and just a pure beauty of nature. I can't wait to go back there again next year. Josh managed to walk on that slippery rocks on his own.

  • @RFBJr1965 I see. I just thought since Ate Mel has been here long enough that you attend to some Filipino-American gatherings.
