I think there may be a safety issue or two but that aside... This will be a "permanent" repair job..... . Now for those jobs that can't be repaired from the out side(porch, other concrete foundation,whatever)..... you folks that sell injectable repair jobs still have a alternate solution Thanks for posting the video

You seal the outside of the foundation so moisture cannot move through. But isn't there still going to be pressure that will eventually build up and harm the foundation?

Thanks for showing this, but seriously, dude is risking his life getting in holes with no bracing. I have seen trenches cave so fast it's unbelievable, anyone caught in there is dead, no way to save them in time.

looks like wet soil i wouldnt backfill that job,slap the tar on with your hands lmaoo,you need air gap membrane and drainage at footings.

In your video description you say that injecting a crack is a temporary fix yet this literally looks like putting a bandaid over the crack. There's a local company here in Winnipeg that's does crack injection and it comes with a lifetime guarantee and according to their CEO in 18 years they have never had to redo a crack. I can appreciate what your doing here and I see no reason why it shouldn't work but I'm sold on the injection method.
