Chris Tomlin - Glorious (drum cover)

Here is my first attempt at a drum cover. I've been playing drums for almost 2 years but only practice when time permits (very seldom as a college student). I learn off youtube tutorial videos and listening/watching other drummers play. I just tried implementing time keeping with the hi hats so that's why it's not very consistent =P. I welcome all comments and criticisms =). Sorry about the mediocre audio quality..I just used my macbook and onboard mic. The hi hats and ride don't sound that tingy in person

i love them..the audio track doesn't do them justice. I like to play with my hi hats open, depending on the dynamic of certain parts of a song and these are the only hats I've encountered that aren't overpowering when I play in a small room with other instruments.

It's a Gretsch Catalina Club Elite kit. It's more of a jazz kit so the sizes reflect that

The drums are made of Phillipine Mahogany if I recall correctly so they seem to have a warmer sound than say Poplar wood. The mounts are the original Gretsch GTS mounts. Let me know if you have any questions.

I hope to get a chance to upload more covers as I've learned a lot since this video. Hope it helps inspire you praise God and lead others to do so as well!

Great job, camelian! Just a suggestion, after you bring the floor tom in for the first time, keep alternating that with the tom because you're trying to build up to a loud chorus.
