For we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast. We boast in our God who has saved us with a salvation that really saves. Left to ourselves, we would never believe. All praise goes to our great Triune God.

Matt Slick is qualified to speak on "TOTAL STUPIDITY!".

@MrSunisloe The Holy Bible doesn't say it's required. If it does, where is it? Quoting the source of the bible is like quoting the all the sources in a doctorate thesis in a speech. Maybe on paper, quoting the source is valued. When I listen to "Focus on the Family," their message is very clear. Sources from the bible is rarely stated in their messages, not every other sentences. That is why their radio show is so successful.

@hoorano It is vvitally important to quote sripture to prove what you are saying ottherwise it looks like you are just spouting your own ideas. I am convinced God chose us as the minister said.

I'm not impressed by memorization of the source of the scriptures. Quoting the lines from the bible per sentence is distracting from the bottom line message you are attempting to share. Try state your summary w/o quoting the lines.
So which comes first, God choosing His disciples or disciples choosing God? Can God reject a person even if s/he willingly converts to Christianity? Were the Calvinist doing the native Hawaiians a favor by outlawing their "wicked kapu' system?

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Gen 6:5 KJV)

Prais the Lord for HIS election. I should have all those scriptures memorized soon!!!

you are a really good teacher keep it up. This is right on total depravity

We need this teaching on YouTube. There are too many who believe in the general goodness of "man" and who do not realize that their best day is nothing more than filthy rags. The Puritans understood this quite clearly. Thank you for your commitment to the Word of the LORD!!!

This is quite excellent. I commend you on using Scripture and not merely logic to assert this beautiful doctrine. As much as I respect the great Reformed minds of our time, I have been left wanting of their explanations of foundational Reformed teaching. Somehow they let slip Soli Scriptura. Manifold blessings to you.
Come on folks, leave comments.
