Today BlankTV is joining FightForTheFuture.org (http://fightforthefuture.org/) and SOPAStrike.com (http://sopastrike.com/) to make our voices heard regarding two pieces of legislation quickly making their way through the United States House and Senate. SOPA (The "Stop Online Piracy Act") - http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/show - and PIPA (The "Protect Intellectual Property Act").- http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-s968/show. As you may already know, these bills could very likely end free speech on the internet as we know it. If either one were to pass, it could also seriously damage many internet businesses that bring you free content and a forum to make your opinions heard.

And what is worse, top critics of the legislation agree that the bills would do little to stop online piracy, or protect intellectual property, as the titles would have you believe. But would instead create chaos on the internet, stifle innovation, and essentially hand control of the internet over to big business.

If either SOPA or PIPA become law, sites like BlankTV, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, WikiPedia and many other popular sites you use every day would be forced to strictly censor legitimate content, user submitted content, and even user comments, profile pictures, and more; or face seizure of their domain name, without requirement of a hearing, trial, or even notification of the site owner. To ensure this affront to freedom and democracy is prevented, it is important that both bills are defeated.

Join us in this historic moment! Tell Congress to stop these bills now and keep the internet FREE! If you are outside the United States, check your government's stance on internet free speech and make your voice heard, if possible! The future of freedom may depend on it!

in Germany is a fucking authority called "GEMA" they block the most Videos from BlankTV.

But not only from blankTV, for example every video with musiccontent, can be blocked when the Gema dont give the rights to listen to this music title in Germany.

But I've a simple tirck to handle the "Gema" block. I use a tool called "Hotspotshield"

It's an easy to use proxyprogramm, once you installed HS, you just click the connect button and than you've an US IP and can watch what you want, try it you'll.

@amoronishere Stop being ashamed of being an American and start being ashamed that big business is dictating policy. Call your representatives, tell your parents if you aren't old enough to vote. The further you get from 20 years old, the less likely you know what SOPA/PIPA are... If nothing else, spread the word! :)

@Pinkergloop as another person commented to me obama promised to veto the bill but a problem with that is that obama's veto will only be effective on a certain level. i guess i should have said the supreme court but when i think of government i think of bush and he really didn't do much on this sort of thing. the supreme court could ddeclare such as sopa/pipa unconstitutional and delete it. one more thingi that do you see the common grounds in sopa- soap opera
