We heard about this place from a church, decide to check it out at night with a large group and a camera, and this is what we found.

  • You can do this effect for example in Adobe After Effects by filming the area twice. For example by filming the stationed chair area twice. Once with ghost and second with nothing then you just layer in your second(ghost)vid with the (non-ghost) vid and use transparency and sync it up with the rest of the video.

  • I'd like to see a comparable example then, one with similar lighting.

  • If your filming two shots in the same conditions the lighting is not a factor.

  • I'd like to see a comparable example.

  • I read the thread on TAPS forums about this...since you were all trespassing, it pretty much null and voids the footage anyways. Trespassing makes every investigator look bad, and those of us who get permission to go into places start finding less and less places want to cooperate.

With that I won't even offer an opinion on it.

  • Well if you did read the thread about it, you would have noticed I said we didn't knowingly trespass. What your saying is equivalent to, just because I didn't see the tree fall in the forest means it didn't fall. This doesn't negate the fact that this appeared on camera. So please, if you don't want to offer an opinion on it, don't post a comment at all.

  • Image in the doorway, possibly paranormal, needs examining for tampering etc. The chair incident just looks like flashlight reflecting off the chair and into the lens.

  • I don't know if thats a ghost so I say it coludv'e been a reflection of light...

  • @772alex What in the world did you just say......I mean that made no grammatical sense whatsoever. I am honestly clueless.....

  • When you go back, use a high-definition, high-framerate camera. Ghosts just never seem to be highly defined and they can only manifest themselves for 1/30th of a second.

It's probably because they're always captured in unstable, unfocused, low-contrast videos with blurred single frames, where splotches of brightness are subject to even more interpretation than clouds in the sky.

  • This is excellent footage. The boy in overalls is clearly seen standing in the doorway as the flashlight passes over him at 2:36, 2:43, and 2:53. (Just click stop-go on the play triangle to see.) Next, there is also at 3:09 and 3:25 a little girl with her bare legs folded up on the seat sitting on the chair. I see no indications of film manipulation. I hope you go back with better equipment!

  • ah! the spider!!!!

  • I mean i see NOTHIN! I'm not blind either! Ima pull ur hairs off!

  • WTF! So freakin idiot tape man! Ima bang the shooter n the demon too! Its so silly tape...

  • omg spider! o wait... so uh, real ghost hunters dont fake it, you wanna go fake it, go work for TAPS

  • Nice try guys. You should spend more time searching for real things rather than trying to dupe us.

At the 25% speed you can clearly see the image on the chair (which seems to be a picture laid over top) not move in congruent with the chair. The image moves back and forth quickly. If it was a ghost sitting in the chair, then this would never happen. DEBUNKED!!
