The Vipassana Experience.

This was one of the hardest, if not thee, hardest things I have done to date.

10 days. Existing within each moment. Each sensation. The ultimate practice of awareness.

It was wonderful. It was horrible. And it helped me grow in ways I can't even explain.

I certainly recommend it, with a warning of course. A warning that you might discover that the control you thought you had over your own mind, needs a little tune up. ;-)

That being said, I still have some cultish 'critiques' about the process, however, it was an amazing experience. Completely changed my perspective.

I send great glorious gratitude out to Goenka, as well as any and all of the individuals involved at the Ontario Vipassana Center and beyond. Thank you! I look forward to my next Vipassana experience.

May all beings be happy!

  • @aracnia Talking about your hair? =P jk. Seems like it has grown after the vipassana experience though xD lol.. But thnx for sharing =)

  • I didn't really know much about vipassana before this, but this sounds very similar to what I've just read about some gnostic mystics who sealed themselves in a dark cave for a long time to face their ownselves. It seems that many different kinds of people agree that knowing ourselves and mastering ourselves is critical to our development as human beings.

  • On an other note, the lifestyle it could be that the person was very overweight before and has learned to control metabolism and heart rate now through meditation, not needing to change weight, not having those goals or active exercise. And how long has it been since these steps or are they just good as a sitting guide. Who knows.. good2? there is much to explore without moving too much, life is living all the same : ) Myself I would become a cripple if I sat that much... thanks for telling

  • hmm, have you ever considered trying this in your day to day life? letting the day to day people in your life know before hand and communicating only if needed with sign? I've done that before for one day and it was interesting you find quickly what is a waste of energy to dwell on and shows clear the reasons why we are trying, whats important and what not. What is rhetorical outward thought towards others especially becomes clear (;- Wish you many blessings sister, learn listen to the wind : )

  • 3:07 "(I haven't talked for 10 days..) I don't know what I'm saying" haha k back to vid : )

  • This sounds interesting, thank you for sharing.

  • seems like you didn't really enjoy it THAT much. i wouldn't be down.

  • How do you explain that you look so good? did Vipassana have anything to do with it?

  • ❤❤

  • I love you
