I would like to create a temperature monitoring system. This system will consist of a main console with touch screen and a series of remote, battery operated temperature sensors. The user will interact with the main console using the touch screen to configure sensors and view data. The sensors will transmit temperature data using xBee. Each sensor will have a unique ID so several of them could be used with one console up to 16 . The console will display the temperature from each sensor. It will also have the ability to display a line graph of a single or all temperature sensors over a given time period. The user can also configure an alarm piezo buzzer if a temperature goes outside of a specified range. I think this will be a great project to develop using the .Net Micro framework. The software will need to support an interactive UI with graphics. It will also require active data storage and interfacing with hardware touch screen and xBee communications .
