Transfixed is correct. I've had the pleasure of seeing him 18 or 20 times over the years, I always bring friends who haven't seen him and we sit close. In the 70's he could play for 4 hours without a break, come back for 3 curtain calls and still, then, as now, its like, "Its over?", "Its time to leave?" Transfixed.

one of the most famous guitarist's guitarist's of the 20th century . adaptable, unstoppable, articulate, seasoned and funny. his skill as a composer alone will far outlive him and his playing. if you EVER get the chance to see him live, don't pass it up and get as close as you can. he has an access to something when he plays that makes it impossible to be anything but transfixed. a true master.

I'm pretty sure Leo Kottke's thumb isn't made of skin, bone, tissue, blood vessels etc, but of only one ingredient: Pure awesome.

I believe this was recorded for Home and Away in Canada. I saw him a couple times at the Union in Madison as well. Great venue back then, but I haven't been there for probably 20 years myself.
