Dawson and Joey - In this video you can see ALL the most important moments of their romance + an alternate finale edited by me (music by Adam Fields + Daydream Believer by Mary Beth Maziarz)

And this is, also, my reply to Paul Stupin who said, the last month, that Dawson's Creek wasn't about the romance of Dawson and Joey because, in his opinion, they were just two best friends.

Actually, Paul Stupin totally contradicts himself. He is, in fact, trying to rewrite history because, when the show aired, he said exactly the opposite. He wants, clearly, to justify that orrible series finale: one of the worst and most incoherent finale ever.

"The entire first season was built around the audience wanting Dawson to finally notice that Joey was in love with him. The long build up was what made it so satisfying when they finally kissed in Dawson's bedroom. HOWEVER, SINCE THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS THE BASIS OF THE SHOW, HAVING THEM STAY TOGETHER FROM SEASON 2 ON WOULDN'T PROVIDE FOR INTERESTING DRAMA. HAVING THEM FACE CHALLENGES AND STILL FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO EACH OTHER MADE THEIR RELATIONSHIP INTERESTING" (Paul Stupin, Tuesday May 1st 2001)

"I think Dawson's Creek is about two friends who fell in love because that is what Dawson and Joey are: a pair of soulmates who met too young and they are meant to be" (Kevin Williamson, April 1999)

"I sort of always make the case that [Dawson's Creek] is about a pair of soulmates who met too young, and that's who Joey and Dawson are, but part of the power of our show is: how do these people still manage to find their way back to each other?" (Greg Berlanti at Tv Guide, Feb 6 2001)

"We knew the show was about Dawson and Joey but we were all still trying to find the character's voices and explore their personalities. It was difficult doing all of this without being able to get the fans input since no one had seen the show yet. By Season Two we felt we had a grasp on the Dawson/Joey dynamic and decided to further develop the character of Pacey. The best way to do this was to give him a relationship of his own, thus Andie McPhee was born" (Paul Stupin, Monday April 15th 2002)

"To me, Dawson and Joey is what the show is really about. And as much as I love writing scenes for Pacey and Joey, the show is really about Dawson and Joey, these two friends who fell in love, but then life got in the way. But I truly believe that they'll eventually find their way back to each other" (Tom Kapinos, Thursday October 26th 2000)

"First of all she didn't want to hurt Dawson.. but that isn't the only reason, she doesn't want to give to him as a pretext for going to bed with Gretchen.. my feelings are this, and this is just one writer's opinion, but to me the show is about Dawson and Joey and it's about these two people who meet really young, and they are sort of meant to be. They are soulmates, but life gets in the way, and it's impossible when you're that young to sustain a relationship like that. So each person has to go off and have other relationships that are positive and real and important. I think Dawson and Joey ultimately... I would like to think they would make their way back to each other, but in the meantime they have all these other relationships to explore" (Tom Kapinos, Feb 8 2001)

Well, as you can see, the romance of Dawson and Joey is the ONLY love story that was in ALL the seasons of Dawsons Creek. Year after year Dawson and Joey were involved in other relathionships but their romance is the ONLY ONE that you can see in every season of the show because, according to Anna Frike, "this show is about the love between Dawson and Joey and when you cut everything else away: those two are at the heart " (Anna Frike, Tuesday June 19th 2001).

  • @edoardodf what season and episode is 5:33? The one where joey is wearing the white shirt

  • @mizzcutierulz #2.02 - season 2

  • Pleeeease somebody know the name of the music at the beginning of the video????!!!

  • @Thomas69600 It's the first "Dawson and Joey Love Theme" by Adam Fields ;)

  • Time for a rebuttal. How anyone can call the whole DJ thing romantic is beyond me. Joey never had as many touching moments with Dawson as she did with Pacey (S3 esp "I remember everything", 409, 414, 614, 615 to list just a few).

But more importantly, the chemistry wasn't there. Both KH and JJ had amazing chemistry together, on and off screen. This made their on screen performances very believable. This chemistry is perhaps why there are a 100 PJ montages to every 1 DJ tribute on this site.

  • @jrs666ify Frankly I will never understand the reason why anyone, like you, who hates someone so much (in this case Dawson) comes on a video dedicated to him. Why? Why the hell are pjers viewing a D/J video? Why? The show closed nearly 10 years ago. What do want to hear? That Pacey won? That pjers won? That Pacey is the perfect boyfriend? That he won the perfect boyfriend contest, beating Dawson? Is that what you want to hear? Ok, you won and now go and watch a P/J video if that's what you like

  • When did they get married??

  • Thank you for creating this. Dawson & Joey's romance was the soul of the show. Nothing else compared.

  • Thank you for creating and posting such a great video. Brings back alot of memories. The chemistry between D/J was so great. Season 1 and 2 were magical. I watched the finale only 1 time. Just to close the book of DC. I still don't like the ending. It should have ended withD/J. That's how the show ended nearly every season (except S2 and S3). At least both of them in a happy relationship. Too sad that the dreamer Dawson ended up alone (with Spielberg).

I saw you post this on another video. You are just copy and pasting this to different videos...

Why are you even bothering? You are free to like who you like together, and let us like DJ together. You go like PJ.

  • Great video! I was so in awe of this show and was a loyal viewer from the very beginning because of the incredible relationship between D/J. I never once even remotely liked or supported P/J as a couple. Season 3 was pretty awful but season 4 was nauseating. D/J had the connection, the romance and the magic - they were the heart of Dawson's Creek. They made a joke out of the show in the end, sorry to say. It went so off track from what made it so special, and that was the D/J chemistry.
