Majority Leader Steny Hoyer Discusses Iran Sanctions Bills

Mr. Hoyer admitted that he has not had direct communication with the Administration about their recent downgrading of the threat of Iranian ballistic missiles, though he asserted that a nuclear-armed Iran is dangerous and unacceptable to Israel, the region, the international community, and the interests of the United States. Asked whether the House can fast-track the Iran sanction bills that have been introduced by Reps. Frank and Berman, Mr. Hoyer said he expects to bring them both to the floor within a matter of weeks.
