We take a look at the iPhone 4 hotspot on Verizon. It turns out that it works quite well and just as expected. Verizon currently charges $20 per month for the feature to be turned on and also is coming to AT&T and other carriers soon with a future update.

1)Is the hotspot feature only available if u pay monthly or can u get it on pay as you go?

2) Does the iPhone have access to its wifi or does it only give access to other devices?

Ok, so I'm confused. Do I need to jailbreak my iphone or go to my telecom provider to activate this feature, or does it already work on the iphone? I'm planning on buying it direct from Apple.. :)

whenever I try to set up a hotspot it says I need to enable the feature with my carrrier...
