  • Man, my computer doesn't support GLSL. Is there any other way to get the real-time lighting without the GLSL. I really need that type of graphics.

  • @RasiumLane In blender, there is texture faced lighting. I don't know what its called in 2.5, but in 2.49 theres that. Not as prettyful as GLSL and no realtime shadows. But there are ways to fake shadows. Check the blender artists game engine resources. Should be an easy find.

  • @CandGPxexpert Thanks for the help. I'll check it out. Here's another question though...

does the paint-face button selection in vertex paint work without the GLSL? I can't seem to find it. Tutorials say that you should first set your selector to Face Mode then switch to vertex paint, thus revealing the Paint-Face Button Selection. I tried it, didn't seem to work. Any ideas? Thanks. I'll be waiting for more posts. More power to Blender!!!!!

  • @RasiumLane It should, back when we didn't have GLSL i used it all the time, I actually haven't used blender in a long ass time. So i'm not to familiar with the controls anymore. School and work has basically absorbed my whole life right now.

  • hey its really nice and helpfull

  • @rokstar234 lol just figured it out..... its quite simple just use nodes and the normals node without activating the normal button in textures......

  • how do you get shadows to work with normal maps? when i enable normals the shadow disapears

  • @CandGPxexpert Thanks, man. I hope you get to use Blender once more. You're really good. I hope it leads you somewhere.
