  • What size did this injury have?? I have a 1.5 cm injury, some say its not much, and can be fixed without so many patches of non weight areas of the knee, but im not sure tho. My knee built enough fibrocartilage to cover up the hole but eventually i will need surgery. Any opinions or recommendations.

  • I wonder how they planned out the surgery to match up the specific surface geometries of the donor site to the recipient site?

  • tres bonne technique pour les greffes de cartilage autologue

  • 4 months later and no sports but at least I can walk. I do not recommend this surgery unless your damage is severe like mine. Try to be conservative. (Maybe next year I can play golf.)

  • i rate my one year comment, i had a different procedure called autologous chondrocyte implantation which is similar expet for what i described. worked wonderfully but walkin home from school my other leg went so now im recovering on crutches on my previously good leg, its all fun fun fun

  • They use non-weight bearing area to implant to weight bearing area, only one surgery.

  • Thanks that is what I needed to hear after a fractured piece of bone broke off and my final orthopedist did a mosaic plasty last week. I just wish he could also have used the new bone glue and could speed healing time and cement it in.

  • Do not jump or run and drink the liquid Glucosamine sulfate with chondroitin and MSM. Symtec is the best but now I can not find it in the store. Also the orthopedist now has glue and can mend bones.

  • Really? I'm probably gonna need this surgery. Tell me about the revalidation period if you will. Does it heal fast? Can you do sports like before? Will there be implications because of this in a far futur if you do sports? Please tell, thank you!

  • I have thjis surgery 7 years agoo. And I have no problems for 7 years, but in last mounth i have some problems!
