Actually, the red state update guys had better answers than anyone else could have had. The bear community is a reference to the homosexuals who post on youtube and call themselves the bears so that was really funny.
The other thing that was funny is that they were saying that public advocate should change the name because a homosexual magazine is also called advocate but bender you are right that the red state update has their OWN brand and they stick to it. That is independence for you.
