Video of Bobby Jameson and Jesse Ed davis working on Mary Please Forgive Me. Recorded at the same time as Junkie Jesus and Jesus Was An Outlaw Too. Bob Glaub bass and Jimmy Karstein drums are isolated out of this recording at Jesse's request so he could work on a guitar overdub with himself and vocal only. Recorded in 1970-71 time frame. Produced by Gavin Murrell, Bobby Jameson, and Kirby Johnson. Arranged by Jesse Ed Davis.

  • R.I.P. Jesse Davis.

  • Jesse Ed Davis was one soulful and funky guitar player, his solo on taj mahal's Bacon Fat is one of my all time favorites. Thanks for posting this!

  • This is a fantastic find—a piece that documents the incomparable Jessie Ed Davis vamping through the creative process. I certainly like the finished, high power piece, but as usual, this slower, almost acoustic version is an absolute revelation. Just amazing!

I can't believe our good fortune in having an opportunity to hear these pieces. Thanks, Bobby!

  • Man, I hate the music that is around today... Trance, Hip Hop... Give me this every time ! Great J !!!!! I need it. Andy
