I don't think the principal was out of line. He was not going to keep the shoes...he was inspecting them for drugs &/or weapons. When the student agreed to be checked, he knew that he would be checked from the top to bottom. The principal did not treat the student as a crimial...it wasn't until the student was going to get out of hand that the principal reacted. When was the last time you have stepped inside of a public school. All schools are not like this school, but some are close.

He claimed the principal was treating him like a criminal...well, he is. He also claimed the man, who he cursed at, was being disrespectful...give me a break.

He's grown. I would've called the police to search him and take him off to jail where he'll eventually end up anyway. They were merciful to him.

I love Dr T's approach. He told him he will be searched. Which means your shoes too, like in the airport. Courtney was high. Could he be mentally challenged? possible. Courtney needs discipline. The main ingredient to change is consistent discipline. It is not consistent to allow this young man to wander the halls high possibly with drugs in his pocket but not allow other to do it. If he is a known drug user, he is a reason for drug dealers to be in the halls. the search and ban were both needed

I hate principals, I've never been in trouble just can't get with them for some reason! Especially High School Principals.
