  • I guess it wasn't popular to punch very often during this time? Or do both of these fighters just favor the use of legs and clinch? Sorry but I just noticed they have barely thrown any punches the whole fight.

  • They had some guys around this time known primarily for punching . Vicharnnoi, Fasai Taweechai and Saensak Muangsurin to name a few. Samart Payakaroon had not started off as a puncher but later incorporated hands as he fought both Muay Thai and international boxing. Dieselnoi actually had one boxing match with Sansakda Kittikasem and was KO'd.

  • if nongkhai had a lil more reach, i think noi wouldve been in trouble. deisel only has his reach & knees. not so much of a technical fighter in my oppinion

  • Dieselnoi's technical abilities are very subtle. He was a very dedicated fighter and trained 6 hours a day. Dieselnoi had also been an instructor while fighting and has a deep understanding of the game. Dieselnoi has knee techniques featured in Panya Kraitus's book, The Distinguished art of Muay Thai.

  • how tall is dieselnoi?

  • I have an older Muay Thai mag saying that he was 186cm

  • @RegistrationCop Punches are the weakest weapons of muay thai and they score much less than kicks, knees and elbows.

  • @RegistrationCop I think what you're asking is why it was all knees and kicks. Dieselnoi had humongous knees. They were his primary weapon. I don't think he had great punching power. Look at his arms. But just think about facing him in the ring with those knees. Very hard to beat. Great fighter.

  • @UJ1400 Hahahahahahaha that's very funny :)

  • @RegistrationCop You put this comment a year ago but I will add until Samart, who was a 4 time Lumpinee champ, came along after this and won a title in the WBC in boxing the hands were used very little plus the hands score less I believe in Muay Thai. I think it goes knees score highest, then kicks, then elbows, then punches and I don't know where they score on the chart but takedowns score. I know the rules have changed since plowing is no longer allowed:(

  • was grabbing onto ropes legal back then?

  • @teemack you might change ur mind if u felt one of those knees to the stomach.

  • @5till13lazin What kind of argument is that?

  • ชอบมารยาทแบบไทย

  • right now to favourites

  • @RegistrationCop what are u talking about. around 6.35 the smalleer one isnt doing anything else but throwing punches
