  • Yes, it's the original router firmware. Not really sure what all it supports, but I believe DLNA depends on what the device can play. This video is playing a Xvid .avi file.

    For instance my PS3 can't play MKV files, so on my linux server I run PS3Mediaserver that transcodes MKV files into a format the PS3 understands. I doubt the default firmware of the E3000 can do this. Not sure about custom firmwares though.

  • Great demo! Are you using original router firmware? Does the DLNA of this router supports mp4 and mkv formats?

  • Could you please tell me how did you got that working with DLNA? I just bought a E3000 linksys router and trying to get it to work with my SonyTV which is DLNA compliant. Any Help would be appreciate
