I also have the 5g6. For me it's much more fun to fly around the house because you actually have a good amount of control from it. Although the 4#3 looks great I don't recommend the 4#3 at all unless if your very experienced at flying rc heli's. The only weak part on the 5g6 is the tail truss, but that isn't an important part and it's very cheap & easy to put a new one on.

I agree. The 5G6 and 5#6 (dual rotor helis) are far easier to control. But the Dragonfly 4#3 is excellent preparation for bigger, more acrobatic helis (where the 5G6 is too easy to teach the skillz needed for bigger helis).

The 4-3 is about the same size as the Walkera 5G6 (which has good reviews) but with only one rotor (hence my concern about the lift it generates). When I compare the 4-3 to my Picco Z clone I note the rotor is only slightly larger (180mm compared to 140mm) but the 4-3 is about five times the weight.

I really want one (and I will pre-order one since they are so cheap ($AU110)).

How do you know they have plenty of lift?

Lift is the result of many things combined. Not least motor power, rotor speed, rotor shape etc. Bottom line, I haven't flown one myself. The 4#3 weighs 45.5g. The 5G6 weighs 57g. If the 4#3 has slightly wider blades it's chances of performing well are good... but the videos around the place are enough to show me it flies well. How well we won't know till we've flown it ourselves.

hi stephen, which is noisy, the picooz or the walkera 4#3? im planning to buy a walkera 4#3 but im worried about the noise because im living in apartment. thanks in advance hope you can give some advice.

i picked one up while in HK. I have flown my Blade CX a bit, and I own a CP that I cannot keep flying. So I would rank myself a beginner still. It took me about 3-4 packs, and lots of short hops, but I'm finally able to hover my 4#3 without much issue. On occasion I still will crash, but I'm very happy with the performance and stability, and I think with patience anyone can learn to fly this guy....

This guy must be very skilled because my one goes wayyy left and when I put the training kit on its even worse (It's fitted on with exact equal sides). The rotor head is really weak too, that's why I put the training kit on. Apparently the reason it goes way left is because of a faulty transmitter, is this true?

Thanks axonG. I will defer to your greater experience. And I will put a pre order in. How many are you getting in your first shipment? Also, I've always wondered, I assume most of your sales are mode 2. What proportion of mode 2 to mode 1 copters do you sell?
