The soundtrack will be released in June 14, 2011. The album's tracklist was revealed at the official website.
The Album is a compilation album of various artists music from the 2011 live-action Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie. The first official single from the album is "Iridescent" by Linkin Park. Also Paramore, Serj Tankian and the Goo Goo Dolls released their singles for the film, "Monster" and "All That You Are" respectively.
On April 13, 2011 Mike Shinoda announced on his blog that Linkin Park's song "Iridescent" will be the new single for the film, continuing the streak of the band's songs as the theme songs of the film series. The single follows "What I've Done" being used in the 2007 film, and "New Divide" for the 2009 film. The music video for Iridescent will be directed by Joe Hahn. On April 23, 2011 Paramore announced on their official Twitter that they will have a new song on the soundtrack, entitled "Monster". It has been announced that the band Skillet will have a song from their album Awake in the soundtrack. On May 23rd it was announced Black Veil Brides would release the song "Set The World On Fire" off of their sophomore effort Set the World on Fire. The Goo Goo Dolls have also confirmed to have a new song on the album, "All That You Are". Stone Sour announced on May 31 that "The Pessimist," an unreleased track from their latest album Audio Secrecy will appear on the soundtrack as well.[citation needed] It has been revealed that Staind's new single "The Bottom" (their most recent original material since 2008), will appear on the soundtrack.

I'd like to think that this song does a fairly good job at describing Optimus Prime's feeling regarding Sentinel Prime's betrayal.
