Artist: A Perfect Circle Album: THIRTEEN STEP Track 09: The nurse who loved me ________________________________________ Say hello to the rug's topography It holds quite a lot of interest with your face down on it Say hello to the shrinking in your head You can't see it but you know its there so don't neglect it
I'm taking her home with me all dressed in white She's got everything I need pharmacy keys She's falling hard for me I can see it in her eyes She acts just like a nurse with all the other guys
Say hello to all the apples on the ground They were once in your eyes but you sneezed them out while sleeping Say hello to everything you've left behind It's even more a part of your life now that you can't touch it
I'm taking her home with me all dressed in white She's got everything I need some pills and a little cup She's falling hard for me I can see it in her eyes She acts just like a nurse with all the other guys

this reminds me of all those girls i became infatuated with ... thinkin wow she really likes me even ... then seein that she acted tha same way with every other dude... but still i thought she liked me ... jajaja :P
To me the whole album is about addiction. This is the time in rehab. Pet is the drug calling you back, Blue is overdosing, the Noose is the drug fully taking hold, Gravity is the first true "kicking" of the habit and the thirteend step is tje 1st step towards recovery. Each song applies to it.
@MissAbbyann its about love and how its like a drug with its ups and its downs it can put you face down on the ground... perhaps its about being in love with a nurse in a rehab clinic. ya know, 12 steps to overcoming addiction, and the 13th is starting it all over again. so i would say its safe to speculate its about love/drugs
I guess love would be the more positive way to look at it, but I must say MissAbbyann seems to be the closest when it comes to ciphering out its meaning. Its all opinion based of course, but the phrases MissAbbyann took from the song really do bring to mind "uppers" Not necessarily cocaine, methamphetamines could qualify as a legit interpretation of this song. Thats what I got from it anyway.
this is going to be mine and my boyfriends first dance at our wedding i no its not about that but its just sooo beautiful and we both love maynard and his music i cant wait eeeeee
