In the free how to learn hypnosis training video entitled, How to do hypnosis without trance; Paul wanted to experience a stage hypnosis phenomenon on a one day seminar with me, the hypnotist Jonathan Chase. And as I wanted to demonstrate the so called Erickson handshake as demonstrated often by people like Richard Bandler, The two mixed together very well. There is nothing going on here other than what you see. No loops, no ladders and no claims to have developed what is nothing more than the art of suggestion.

He did go into trance but only because I also wanted to display that trance is the resulting symptom of hypnosis and suggestion. Not the hypnosis itself.

I have some knowledge on this subject and I doubt very much that this can be done without a pre-hypnosis and codification of the subject. In fact I am willing to allow anybody to hypnotize me this way.

i dunno but we had 4 guys i work with go get hypnotised to quit smokin and they all said hypno is a load of junk

@JKHypno That's right he is now a Fellow of the Academy of Hypnotic Arts. From the day we did this, Paul's first tray ning with me, he went on to do the stage and professional hypnotist training with us, and has been working with us now for five years.

@kanix999 Plus, hypnosis is a world and (already) a bit old natural phenomenon known to humans. Even Freud (you must recognize this man as not a fake author and professional, right?) said he used to use it while in his first decade of work. So, where does this sckeptisism come from? Ignorance? Perhaps. That's understandable!

@kanix999 i can see no reason why this would be staged, Jon is a very good and very experienced hypnotist and he is also very direct. and he also mentions that the subject is a somnambulist, someone who is a very very good hypnotic subject. that's why he is responding very easily to the suggestions.
