@grateful6595 Exactly, you need some common sense, accidents happen. Even in rugby players accidentally clash heads, and I seriously doubt they're doing it purposely. It's just a mistimed incident that happens every now and again.
You can't get rid of human error and circumstance, no matter how you change the rules or how much you punish players
@z0mgrugbyreturns I agree, Urlacher was clearly trying to make a clean tackle at the same time the receiver was ducking. Urlacher had his head down as he was preparing to make impact. How are these players supposed to know, simultaneously, what the other player is going to do. Let the players play unless serious, malicious intent is displayed. These guys belong to an exclusive fraternity. They bust each others balls on the field, but no player wants to see another player end his career.
As a lifetime Lions fan, I can honestly say that Brian Urlacher is my favorite defensive player in the National Football League. Plays very aggressive. Not dirty, aggressive.
