Though situation. Libya was a brutal dictatorship, there is no deniding that. But it was at the same time much more developed. While I enjoy the fact that they will (hopefully) get a democracy, I fear that they might go from bad to worse.

I usually agree with finkelstein but here he is wrong, Libya was attacked because of the oil. Libya is or were ..the most developed african nation thanks to Ghadaffi.
