Battle: Los Angeles hits theaters on March 11th, 2011.

For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world - Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrifying reality when Earth is attacked by unknown forces. As people everywhere watch the world's great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. It's up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered before.

Yes, I'm writing my first script for a short film. Correct me if this is true but they suggest I get my feet wet before I jump in the directors seat making big movies like this

I figured that much. I study and analyze film as much as I can. The script just shouldn't have been shot. But they got swept up in the Black Hawk Down w/ Aliens nature they got over-excited and threw together the pieces. I think when they started seeing the first cuts of the movie, they were like, "Fuck, what do we do now?" That's cool man you're a director, working on anything right now?

I can answer that from a Directors prospective. When this teaser first came out I can tell the suits that worked on this where as you said before nervous on what the movie goers might think. Reason it was a lot of flip-flops was of competition in the film business. And wear demanding better movies. And the pressure you guys put on us film directors. In fact that's what got me in this business not only it's fun, but a lot of hard work, and challenge.

They cut FOUR of these trailers. FOUR. They were nervous from day one, and the thing still flopped. Why the marking flip-flops and hammering?

Finally saw this movie and it was surprisingly good. If I'd seen this full length trailer I probably would have pushed more to see the movie. The song at 1:46 is "The Sun's Gone Dim and the Sky's Turned Black" by Johann Johannsson, and what an appropriate song it is. The movie has action and explosions but also has some good stuff on the dynamic between the men in the Marine's 2/5 (and one Tech Sergeant from the Air Force) and some civilians.
