My god. I remember this game like it was yesterday. If hearst wouldn't have got hurt i think it would have been very interesting. The look on that santimonous son of a bitch favres face was the funniest shit in life!!

I agree with Czah, the Hearst injury doomed this team, unfortunately. They were my all-time favorite niner team... I definately think they could have beaten the Broncos that year...

you know how many times the niners got screwed over with things like that in the P.O's?

Especially with a lot of the NFC Championship matches against the cowboys.

The worst calls of all were actually in that first classic game with "The Catch". An awful interference call on a niners interception that set up a Cowboys TD, and the Niners STILL pulled it out, even with 5 turnovers!! (or was it 6?)

Sucked that Hearst finally fell victim to the madden curse the next week against Atl. I felt that would've been Young's 2nd ring.
