There is nothing funny here. Many things can change in 240 years. Our country was founded on great principles, but many of those have left and made way for security rather than freedom and independence. Corruptness has seeped its way into every facet of business and politics. Our country is not designed to react to people like Ron Paul. I, like many others, helped support Ron Paul, but we are just a small fraction of the overall population of America that is brainwashed.

I find it quite funny that I hear people from the US say that their country was founded on these great values and principals (maybe it was? - Probably). But when you look at the US now, that all is gone. Then you have people like Ron Paul promoting these values, but no one could care for a shit. Ron Paul is one of the most down to earth people who I have ever followed online. No bullshit, no empty promises. I sometimes wonder that did he only lose just because he didn't promise "great change".

cont Now I know I'm not perfect and I could probably be doing a lot better if I really put my mind to it. Trust me, no one wants to get motivated more than I do. But my actions I take now directly stem from the way I was raised as a child. It is very difficult to break out of my habit. I want to get involved in government and fix our country, but all I can think about is finishing school and some other not very important things.

I'm sorry, it is so difficult to wake people up. Understand that the very core of our media and education systems are designed to dull our minds. Where once we are finally done with the retardation that is public schooling, we are forced to pay thousands to go to college per semester. I'm in Computer Science and I pay $5,400 per semester. I take out loans of course, so I end up in $20,000 in debt before I'm even done, and around $45,000 before I move out of my parents. cont
