Obama Care

We all agree the health care system is in need of reform. That's not the issue. The debate is really what kind of reform is needed. There are those rooting for nationalizing health care - Obama Care. What's that you ask? Obama's idea of reform is a government takeover of the health care system. One of the most popular forms of government takeover is the "Massachusetts Model." Those of us opposing "reform" that involves yet more government interference, wish to see a system that incorporates more consumer choice and more competition. Take a minute to watch this new video outlining just one of the many reasons the Massachusetts model has failed.

The funny thing is having a public funded health care system would actually cost less money than our current system. The problem is this country is not a democracy. This country is an Oligarchy (rule by the few elites). Democrats and Republicans it doesn't matter who you vote for, they all stand for the same things and make a big fuss about the little differences that they share. The quality of life for the average American in the 21st century is going to take a deep, deep dive.

Or even better tell the German, French, Canadian and Dutch people to give up their public funded health care systems so they can spend that money on defense to buy weapons in order to defend other people's countries and play (World policeman). Obama's healthcare changes don't go far enough. We spend $700 Billion/year on defense, at least $7 Trillion in 10 years to protect S.Korea, Japan and Germany keeping tens of thousands of troops over there while 50 million Americans here can't get access to proper health care if they get seriously sick. Meanwhile, Germans, S. Koreans and Japanese who we protect share gov funded single payer or semi private health care systems where all (100%) of their peoples get access to worry free health care.

@circusmaximus10 I have been a taxpayer in the US tho no longer live there. Look: you have health insurance? You know that when you get ill, it's going to cost you. If you have a partner and one of you loses your job either the health insurance or the mortgage goes unless youre donald trump. And dont think Europeans are getting "handouts" from the state! All they did was to provide a universal, compulsory insurance scheme NOT run for profit. Benefits? They look atfer you when your sick. Simple.
