Sunnah of Moon Sighting - Bradford Workshop

On Sunday 2 January 2011 a Moon Sighting Workshop was held in Bradford (UK) to revive the Sunnah of crescent moon (Hilal) observations in the UK, especially for the 6 months of the year when the Hilal is in the Northern Hemisphere. This is especially true for Saturday 5th March 2011 when the first visibility of Hilal may start from the UK horizon before the whole world. This video covers the science of moon sighting by Eng Qamar Uddin, which was preceded by a presentation on the Jurisprudence (Fiqh) of moon sighting by Shaykh Sulayman Gani.
